Women of Distinction: Biblical and Contemporary Women
Welcome to the Santa Fe Jewish Women’s Circle
We are dedicated to sharing and exploring our Jewishness while fostering friendship and community growth. All Jewish women are welcome regardless of background or level of observance. Come join us, meet new friends and renew old acquaintances. Enjoy various craft projects, music, cooking classes, educational events, discussions and, what we all do best, laughter. We explore our amazing Jewish heritage and life together in a creative, meaningful experience. Please join us and we promise you, a good time will be had by all!
Our theme for this year is “Women of Distinction.” Each meeting will feature a discussion on a biblical heroine, led by Devorah Leah Levertov. Followed by a presentation about a contemporary woman by one of our Women’s Circle members. We’ll explain what each woman accomplished and why it was important, and the legacy they left behind. Each presentation will be followed by an educational or cultural activity. Refreshments will be served.
Meetings are held at Chabad Jewish Center, 242 W San Mateo, and begin at 6:30pm. Meetings are $5 for members and $8 for non-members. Annual membership is $36.
